PLEASE NOTE: TIA strongly encourages those interested in serving on the TIA Board Directors to serve on one of the Association's many committees for at least one year prior to running for a Board position.


All areas related to airfreight (forwarding, cross-border/international, TWIC, Customs, tariffs, scanning/screening, etc.). The Conference is responsible for all issues related to the global supply chain. The Committee will examine and develop policies pertaining to the international movement of goods. The development of the TIA Canadian Cross-border Framework.

The TIA Fraud Task Force was created to address the rampant issue of fraud in the supply chain. The Task Force works on several different verticals to combat the issue of fraud and educate the TIA membership on the latest strategies criminals are utilizing and the best practices to combat them.

The VAC, or Vendor Advisory Committee, operates as a specialized committee appointed by the TIA Technology Committee. The VAC conducts evaluations of existing and emerging technologies, evaluates their implications for TIA members and the transportation industry, and proposes strategies and innovations to the TIA Technology Committee. Membership on the committee is for a one-year term. Members are chosen through an impartial application and voting process based on their expertise and potential contributions.
